South Africa gave me more surprises than any other trip I’ve taken. I went for the wildlife and landscapes, but ended up coming home with a collection of small, unexpected moments that changed how I travel.

From late-night conversations with strangers to last-minute adventures I never planned, the country kept nudging me out of my comfort zone. Here are the moments I’m still thinking about months later.
